Are Connections in the Workplace Important?

What kind of connections are you creating in the workplace?  In a previous podcast episode, I mentioned how workplace connections are important when trying to grow within an organization.  I've also seen how connections create opportunities outside of the organization as leaders leave and take a few of those relationships with them.

While fostering connections at work is easy and normal for some, for others, it's avoided at all costs.  It's found that many staff prefer to limit their work connectivity and keep their personal lives separate from business.
