The Truth About Chasing Your Dreams...It Gets Ugly.

The Truth About Chasing Your Dreams...It Gets Ugly.

The world loves a success story. They love the trophy, the title and the vacation photos. They rarely love the process that got us there. Lately, I have been in a season where the work demands everything. There are nights when the midnight oil is the only thing keeping the vision alive. I have felt the exhaustion in my bones and the fog in my mind.

It is a strange feeling to be in a flow state where time disappears. We lose track of the hours, forget to eat and miss the things others find essential. To the outside observer, this looks like madness. They see the missed outings and the tired eyes, telling us to relax or slow down.

We must be careful about whose advice we entertain. It is a basic truth that we cannot take directions from someone who has never been where we are going. Their version of "balance" may be a ceiling to our growth, while their "relaxation" might be the very thing that delays our blessing.

This is the groundwork phase. It is not meant to be permanent, but it is necessary. Since we cannot build a skyscraper on a sandy foundation, we have to get down in the dirt and embrace the solitude and the sacrifice.

The goal is alignment. When our daily effort matches our divine calling, the fatigue is different. It is a tired that feels like progress. We can find ways to incorporate our health, like taking a walk with knowledge in our ears, but we cannot compromise the mission. Let us keep going. The people who think we are crazy now will be the ones asking us how we did it later.

Truly,

Kim the SME

I know how exhausting it can be to stick to surface-level small talk when you are craving a more meaningful conversation. I am passionate about moving past the noise and creating space for real connection. To help with this, I've created a conversation app designed for exploration and connection, helping you skip the small talk and dive deeper. I would love for you to try it for free at your next meeting, work event, or family gathering.
