When It Went Wrong and Still Went Right

We often feel alone in our struggles, as if no one sees what we're going through. But in a recent experience, I was reminded that even when we feel most isolated, there are often people working behind the scenes to help us - people we may not even know.

I was out shopping, trying to find the perfect decor to spruce up my podcast background. Fully absorbed in debating color schemes, I was oblivious to the repeated intercom calls about a black car in the parking lot. It turned out those calls were about my car - it had been in a hit-and-run accident, and not one but several strangers had stepped up to help.

Two sisters, who I'll call April and May, witnessed the whole thing. They called the police, waited for me to check out, walked me to my car, gave statements, and offered their numbers in case I needed anything else. Another bystander left a note on my windshield with details of the culprit's license plate. Someone else called the store to report it.

I was stunned by the kindness of complete strangers who went out of their way, far beyond reasonable expectations, to help me. It made me reflect on how even in our darkest moments, there are often people fighting battles for us that we don't see. Your name is being mentioned in rooms you've never been in, by people vouching for you and creating opportunities you don't even know about yet.

So when you feel alone in your struggles, remember - you have an unseen team. You may not have all the answers, but there are invisible hands laying the groundwork for blessings and solutions you can't even imagine. Have faith and keep going, trusting that what you need is on the way, often from the most unexpected places. How far would you go for a stranger?
