When You've Been Lied On...

Have you ever been lied on?  Not to be confused with mistaken or misunderstood but lied on?

It's a different kind of pain and betrayal.  If you've been there, you already know. It changes you.  It changes how you move, how you listen, how you lead. It sharpens your discernment. It softens your heart in some places and hardens it in others. That experience stays with you, especially when no one stood up for you… when the silence from people who knew better hurt just as much as the lie itself.

In this week's episode of the KimUnity Soulutions podcast, I speak on how those who have been falsely accused empathize with others and how we're not as quick to jump on the bandwagon as others do.  We listed for what is said and also what was left out or omitted.  We take into consideration who's speaking, why, and their proximity.  We ask ourselves if it even makes sense.  We look through the charisma and look more into their character.  We do all of this because we remember what it was like, the pain it caused, the reputation it damaged...we remember.

In a world full of storytelling, manipulation, and media spin, we have a responsibility to pause, question, and discern all that we are consuming.  Are you doing that?  Have you experienced this? Will you start?
